Events
GEG participates in community events to engage people in awareness of the natural environment and to promote our organisation. A stall at the monthly Billabong Park Market creates a lot of interest, particularly with the tree giveaway. The annual Gloucester Show is another opportunity for GEG to highlight the importance of the protection of our natural world.
Our educational forums for members and the community are well attended. They cover a range of topics by guest speakers on environmental issues. It is also an opportunity to chat with like-minded people who have an interest in nature.
GEG celebrates International Women's Day on the 8th of March each year with a lunch and a guest speaker. This attracts over 30 women who enjoy the camaraderie and sharing common experiences.
